Terms of Service

The rules for using our website and booking our services. The short version first, then the full terms.

Last updated: October 5, 2026

The short version

  • Information on this website is general. Your plumber's on-site diagnosis and your written proposal or invoice are what count.
  • Estimates and website prices are not binding until you approve a written proposal or work order. Our $85 dispatch fee is waived when you approve and we complete the work the same day.
  • Warranties depend on the job and are spelled out in your written proposal or invoice.
  • Some content on this site was drafted with the help of AI tools and reviewed by people. It may still contain mistakes.
  • Disputes go to individual arbitration, not class actions, unless you opt out within 30 days. Small claims court is always available.

1. Accepting these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Economy Drain Cleaning LLC, doing business as Plumbing Pals ("Plumbing Pals", "we", "us", "our"). They apply when you use plumbingpals.com (the "Site"), submit a form, book online, text or call us from the Site, or request service through the Site. By using the Site you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, including the opt-out choices in Your Privacy Choices. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract to request service. If you request service at a property you do not own, you confirm that you have the owner's permission.

2. Who we are and what we do

Plumbing Pals is a locally owned plumbing, sewer and drain, water service, and heating and cooling company serving Philadelphia, the Main Line, Bucks County, and nearby communities in Pennsylvania. Licensing: PA Master Plumber #34690; Philadelphia City License #154067. Our services, availability, and service area can change, and we may decline any job.

3. Estimates, quotes, and pricing

  • Prices, ranges, promotions, membership pricing, and examples on the Site are for general information. They are not an offer or a binding quote.
  • A price is binding only when you approve a written proposal, estimate, or work order from us (paper or electronic). The written document controls over anything on the Site.
  • Our dispatch fee is $85 and is waived when you approve the recommended work and we complete it the same day. Free estimates and free second opinions apply only to qualifying larger projects, as we tell you before the visit.
  • Conditions we cannot see before starting (for example hidden pipe damage, collapsed lines, code violations, or utility issues) may change the scope or price. We will explain the change and get your approval before doing extra work, except where we must act right away to stop active water damage or a safety hazard.
  • Promotions and coupons have the limits stated with them, cannot be combined unless stated, and may end at any time.

4. Written agreements, permits, and site conditions

Work we perform is governed by the written proposal, work order, invoice, or contract you approve (your "Service Agreement"). If a Service Agreement conflicts with these Terms, the Service Agreement controls for that job. Where Pennsylvania law gives you a right to cancel a contract (for example a home improvement contract or a sale made at your home), your Service Agreement will explain that right and it applies.

Where a permit or inspection is required, we will pull it or tell you who must. You agree to give our team safe access to the work area, to tell us about known hazards (for example asbestos, mold, pets, or prior repairs), and that excavation, sewer, and water service work may disturb landscaping, paving, or finishes; restoration is included only as stated in your Service Agreement.

5. Scheduling, emergencies, and cancellations

Online booking requests (through our Housecall Pro scheduler) and form requests are not confirmed until we confirm them. Arrival windows are estimates. Same-day service is offered when available, not guaranteed. We offer 24-hour emergency service, and holidays are for emergencies only. If you smell gas, have flooding near electrical equipment, or face any danger to life or property, leave the area and call 911 or your utility first.

Please call us as early as possible to reschedule or cancel. If you cancel after a technician is already on the way, the dispatch fee may apply.

6. Payment and financing

Payment is due when the work is completed unless your Service Agreement says otherwise. We accept cash, check, credit and debit cards, and Venmo. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not take card numbers on the Site.

0% Financing Available With Approved Credit through Wisetack. Financing is provided by Wisetack's lending partners, not by Plumbing Pals. Approval, rates, and terms are set by the lender and disclosed to you when you apply. Not all applicants are approved, and other financing options may carry interest.

7. Peace of Mind memberships

Peace of Mind membership plans are governed by the membership agreement you sign or accept when you join. Benefits apply only while your membership is active and paid, discounts do not combine with other offers unless the agreement says so, and limits may apply to major projects. The agreement explains billing (monthly or yearly), renewal, and how to cancel. If anything on the Site differs from your membership agreement, the agreement controls.

8. Warranties and our satisfaction promise

Warranties differ by job. The warranty for your work, including its length and what it covers, is the one written in your Service Agreement or invoice, together with any manufacturer warranty on equipment and materials. No blanket warranty applies to every project.

We stand behind our work with a 100% customer satisfaction commitment. If you are not happy with our work, contact us and we will work with you to make it right under the terms of your Service Agreement and warranty.

Except for the written warranties described above and any warranty that cannot be excluded under law, we make no other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent Pennsylvania law allows.

9. AI and automated content

Some text, images, and tools on the Site (for example guides, articles, and our "What's wrong?" problem picker) were created or organized with the help of artificial intelligence and automated tools, and then reviewed by people. Despite that review, AI-assisted content can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong, and illustrations may not show your exact home or equipment. AI-assisted content is for general information only. It is not a diagnosis, quote, or professional advice, and we do not guarantee its accuracy. Always rely on an in-person inspection by a licensed plumber before making decisions. If we add an AI chat assistant in the future, its answers will be covered by this section.

10. Information only, not professional advice

Articles, cost information, code and permit explanations, and other Site content are general education. Codes, utility rules, and permit requirements change and vary by city and property. Check with the local building department, water department, or your own professional before acting. Do-it-yourself work on gas, sewer, water service, or electrical systems can be dangerous; you are responsible for any work you do yourself.

11. Text message (SMS) terms

By checking the optional text box on a Site form, when booking, or by asking us to text you, you agree that Plumbing Pals may send you text messages about your request and service, including scheduling, appointment reminders, technician arrival updates, estimates, and invoices. We send marketing texts only if you separately agree to receive them. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

  • Message frequency varies.
  • Msg & data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply START to opt back in.
  • Reply HELP for help, or call (267) 860-8106.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • You confirm you are the account holder or an authorized user of the number you give us, and you will tell us if that number changes hands.

How we handle your number and consent is explained in the text messaging section of our Privacy Policy. We do not share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties for their own marketing.

12. Our content and your limited license

The Site and its content, including text, photos of our team and work, our mascots, logos, graphics, and the Plumbing Pals name, belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. We give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to view and use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, republish, scrape, or use our content or marks for any other purpose without our written permission.

13. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • submit false information, or request service in someone else's name without permission;
  • use the Site for anything unlawful, harassing, or fraudulent;
  • interfere with the Site's security or operation, or try to access systems you are not allowed to;
  • use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to collect data from the Site or submit forms, except search engines indexing public pages; or
  • upload viruses or harmful code.

14. Your submissions, photos, and reviews

When you send us information, photos, videos, feedback, or reviews, you confirm you have the right to share them, and you allow us to use them to provide service and run our business. We will ask for your permission before publishing photos or stories that identify you or your property. Reviews you post on third-party sites (such as Google) are governed by those sites, and we may share public reviews as displayed.

15. Third-party services and links

The Site uses or links to services run by other companies, including Housecall Pro (online booking and messaging), Wisetack (financing), Google (maps, analytics, reCAPTCHA), and social media sites. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.

16. Website provided as is

THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not promise that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any particular result will follow from using it. This section covers the Site only; the written warranties for our service work are described in Section 8.

17. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ECONOMY DRAIN CLEANING LLC AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR RELIANCE ON ITS CONTENT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SITE IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100). FOR CLAIMS ARISING FROM SERVICE WORK, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SPECIFIC SERVICE THAT GAVE RISE TO THE CLAIM, UNLESS YOUR SERVICE AGREEMENT OR WARRANTY PROVIDES OTHERWISE.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or rights you have under Pennsylvania consumer protection law.

18. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Economy Drain Cleaning LLC and its owners, employees, and agents from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or content you submit.

19. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and by the Federal Arbitration Act for Section 20. Any claim not subject to arbitration must be brought only in the state courts located in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, or the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and you and we consent to those courts.

20. Binding arbitration and class-action waiver

Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights.

  1. Informal resolution first. Before starting arbitration or a court case, the person with the claim must send a written notice describing it and the relief wanted (to us at the address in Section 23, or to you at the contact information we have on file). Both sides will try in good faith to resolve it within 60 days.
  2. Arbitration. If it is not resolved, any dispute arising from these Terms, the Site, or our services will be decided by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, instead of in court. The arbitration will take place in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, or by phone or video. We will pay the filing and arbitrator fees beyond what you would pay to file in court, as the AAA consumer rules require.
  3. Exceptions. Either side may bring an individual claim in small claims court (Philadelphia Municipal Court or the local magisterial district court) if it qualifies, and either side may ask a court for an order to stop misuse of intellectual property.
  4. Class-action waiver. Claims may be brought only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative action, and the arbitrator may not combine claims of more than one person. If this waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim will go to court, not arbitration.
  5. 30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing [email protected] with "Arbitration Opt-Out" in the subject line, or by mail to our address, within 30 days after you first accept these Terms. Include your name, address, and phone number. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
  6. Service Agreements. If your Service Agreement has its own dispute resolution clause, that clause controls for disputes about that job.

21. General terms

These Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any Service Agreement are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to a successor business. We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, utility outages, supply shortages, or permit and inspection delays. We may suspend or end access to the Site at any time.

22. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when they last changed. Changes apply from the date they are posted and do not affect disputes that arose before the change. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept it.
