Accessibility Statement
Everyone should be able to find help for a plumbing problem. Here is what we do, and how to reach us if something on the site gets in your way.
Last updated: October 5, 2026
The short version
We are working to make plumbingpals.com usable for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification, or voice control. If anything on the site is hard to use, call us at (267) 860-8106 (our 24-hour line) or email [email protected]. We will help you right away and fix the problem.
1. Our commitment
Economy Drain Cleaning LLC, doing business as Plumbing Pals, is committed to making our website accessible to people with disabilities and to giving every visitor the same chance to learn about our services, contact us, and book service. We treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility, not a one-time project, and we see it as part of the Americans with Disabilities Act's promise of equal access.
2. Our target: WCAG 2.2 Level AA
We aim to meet the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content easier to use for people with a wide range of disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, limited movement, speech disabilities, and cognitive and learning differences. We believe the site substantially meets this standard, and we keep working on the areas listed in Section 5.
3. What we have done
- Structure: one main heading per page, headings in order, landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer), and a skip link to the main content.
- Images: text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative images hidden from screen readers.
- Keyboard: menus, buttons, forms, and our problem picker can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- Color and text: text and buttons designed to meet AA contrast, and text that can be resized to 200% without losing content.
- Forms: labeled fields, clear required-field markers, and error messages that screen readers announce.
- Motion: animations are kept light and respect your device's "reduce motion" setting.
- Mobile: layouts that work in portrait and landscape, with large tap targets for call and booking buttons.
- Built in, not bolted on: accessibility is part of the site's own code. We do not rely on an accessibility overlay or widget.
- Testing: automated checks (such as Lighthouse and axe) plus manual keyboard and screen reader checks before major releases.
4. Assistive technology and browser support
The site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox on desktop and mobile, and with common assistive technologies such as VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, TalkBack, screen magnifiers, and voice control. Older browsers may not display every feature.
5. Known limitations and third-party content
Despite our efforts, some parts of the site may not yet be fully accessible:
- Third-party tools we do not control, including the Housecall Pro online booking page, the Wisetack financing application, embedded Google Maps, Google reCAPTCHA, and social media and review sites. We choose vendors with accessibility in mind and report problems to them, but we cannot fix their code. If one of these tools blocks you, call us and we will book your service, take your request, or help with financing over the phone.
- Older articles and photos brought over from our previous websites may have missing or generic image descriptions. We are reviewing and fixing them.
- Diagrams and illustrations (such as our rowhome problem picker) include text labels, but some visual detail may not be fully described. Every problem in the picker can also be chosen from the text list next to it.
6. Tell us about a barrier
If you have trouble using any part of the site, or have a suggestion, please contact us:
- Phone: (267) 860-8106 (24-hour line)
- Online: contact form
- Email: [email protected] with "Accessibility" in the subject line
- Mail: Economy Drain Cleaning LLC d/b/a Plumbing Pals, Attn: Accessibility, 2424 E York St Ste 100-B, Philadelphia, PA 19125
Please tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser, or assistive technology you use, if you know. We will reply within 2 business days, and we will give you the information or service you need another way while we work on a fix.
7. Getting service without the website
You never need the website to get help. Our team can take your service request, answer questions, explain an estimate, read documents aloud, or send information in a format that works for you, such as large print or a plain-text email. Just call (267) 860-8106.
8. Review schedule
We review this statement and test the site at least once a year and whenever we make major changes. This statement was last reviewed on October 5, 2026.
