Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, who sees it, and the choices you have. The short version first, then the full policy.

Last updated: October 5, 2026

The short version

  • We collect what you give us (name, phone, email, address, and details about your plumbing problem) so we can schedule and do the work.
  • Our website uses Google Analytics and similar tools to see how the site is used. In the United States these tools are on by default and you can turn them off at any time using the button in Your Privacy Choices or the cookie banner.
  • We also use a marketing attribution tag from Searchlight Partners ("Photon") that may help identify visitors and measure our advertising. It does not load if you decline in our cookie banner or Your Privacy Choices, or if your browser sends Global Privacy Control; see Section 10.
  • We do not sell your personal information for money.
  • If you give us your phone number, we may call you about your request, and we text you only if you agree. You can reply STOP to any text to stop texts.
  • You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete your information by emailing [email protected] or calling (267) 860-8106.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This Privacy Policy is issued by Economy Drain Cleaning LLC, doing business as Plumbing Pals ("Plumbing Pals", "we", "us", "our"), a Pennsylvania plumbing, sewer and drain, water service, and heating and cooling company. Our main office is at 2424 E York St Ste 100-B, Philadelphia, PA 19125.

It explains how we handle personal information when you visit plumbingpals.com (the "Site"), fill out a form, book online, call or text us, apply for a job, or hire us for service. It also covers our legacy websites while they redirect to this Site. It does not cover websites or apps run by other companies, even when we link to them (for example our online booking page or our financing partner), which have their own privacy policies.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following kinds of personal information:

  • Contact and identity details: your name, phone number, email address, and service or billing address.
  • Service details: what you tell us about the problem, which rooms or fixtures are affected, whether it is urgent, photos you send, appointment history, estimates, invoices, and notes our team makes about your property and the work.
  • Communications: messages you send through our forms, emails, text messages, and records of phone calls (date, time, the number called, call length, and, where a call is recorded, the recording; see Section 8).
  • Payment and financing information: payment method type and payment status. Card numbers are entered and processed by our payment processor, not stored on this Site. If you apply for financing, you apply directly with our financing partner (see Section 16).
  • Job application details: your resume, work history, licenses, and anything else you choose to include when you apply to work with us.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, approximate location (city or region, based on IP), browser and device type, pages viewed, links clicked, the website or ad that sent you to us, and the date and time of your visit. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 9).
  • Marketing attribution and identity information: our Searchlight Photon tag may connect your visit with information our marketing partner already has, such as a name, email address, postal address, or a household or device identifier, to help us understand which advertising brought you to us (see Section 10).
  • Spam and security signals: our forms use Google reCAPTCHA, which looks at device and interaction information to tell people from bots.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us, Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, health information, or other sensitive information through the Site.

3. Where the information comes from

  • Directly from you, when you fill out a form, book online, call, text, email, or apply for a job.
  • Automatically from your browser or device when you use the Site.
  • From service providers that help us run the business, such as our scheduling and customer management system, call tracking provider, and analytics providers.
  • From other people, such as a landlord, property manager, family member, or real estate agent who requests service at a property, or a customer who refers you.
  • From public sources such as public review sites and property records.

4. How we use information

  • To respond to your request, give estimates, schedule, dispatch, and perform service.
  • To send appointment confirmations, reminders, and technician arrival updates.
  • To bill you, take payment, and manage memberships and warranties.
  • To follow up after service, ask for feedback or a review, and handle complaints.
  • To review job applications and hire.
  • To understand how the Site is used, measure which ads and pages bring in calls and requests, and improve the Site and our service.
  • To send service tips, seasonal reminders, or offers, if you are a customer or have agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.
  • To protect against spam, fraud, and misuse, and to keep our systems secure.
  • To meet legal, permitting, tax, insurance, and record-keeping obligations, and to enforce our agreements.

5. Who we share information with

We share personal information only as described here:

  • Service providers that work for us under contracts that limit how they can use the information, including: our scheduling, customer management, online booking, and customer messaging platform (Housecall Pro); our call tracking provider (WhatConverts), when call tracking is active on our site and phone lines; website hosting and form delivery providers; email providers; payment processors; Google (Analytics, reCAPTCHA, and Maps); and IT, accounting, and legal advisors.
  • Marketing attribution partner: Searchlight Partners, which runs the Photon tag described in Section 10 and receives information about visits to the Site.
  • Financing partner: Wisetack, if you choose to apply for financing.
  • Manufacturers and warranty providers when we register equipment or process a warranty claim for you.
  • Government bodies such as permitting and inspection offices, when a permit or inspection is required for your job.
  • Advertising and analytics partners, through cookies and similar technologies as described in Section 10.
  • Legal and safety reasons: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, our team, or the public.
  • Business transfers: if our business is sold, merged, or reorganized, customer records may transfer to the new owner, who must honor this policy for the information it receives.

6. Do we sell or share personal information?

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not sell or rent our customer lists.

Some state privacy laws treat certain uses of advertising cookies as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or as "targeted advertising," even when no money changes hands. If we use advertising cookies or pixels (for example Google Ads measurement), or our Searchlight Photon attribution tag, that kind of disclosure of device, browsing, and identity information can happen. You can opt out at any time using the button in Your Privacy Choices, by clicking "Decline" on our cookie banner, or by turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser. Each of those also stops the Searchlight Photon tag from loading (Section 10). We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

7. Text messages (SMS) and consent

We use text messaging, sent through our Housecall Pro customer messaging system, to communicate about service.

How you agree to receive texts

On our website, we text you only if you check the optional text box on a form; it is never checked for you. Submitting a form without it lets us call you about your request, not text you. When you book online, or ask us by phone or in person to text you, you agree that we may text you at that number about your request and your service. This includes scheduling, appointment confirmations and reminders, technician arrival updates, estimates, invoices, and follow-up about the work.

We will send marketing or promotional texts only if you separately agree to receive them. You do not have to agree to texts to buy anything from us.

Program details

  • Program: Plumbing Pals customer care and service notifications.
  • Message frequency: varies based on your service and requests.
  • Cost: Msg & data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
  • Opt out: reply STOP to any message. We will send one message confirming you are unsubscribed and then stop texting that number. You can opt back in by replying START.
  • Help: reply HELP for help, or call us at (267) 860-8106.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or text-messaging opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except the service providers that deliver our messages for us.

8. Phone calls, call tracking, and recording

Phone numbers shown on the Site, in ads, and on our Google listings may be call tracking numbers that forward to our office. The phone number you see may change depending on how you reached the Site. Call tracking records the number you called from, the date, time, and length of the call, the page or ad that led to the call, and general location of the caller. We use it to answer calls, return missed calls, and measure which advertising works. If you click "Decline" on our cookie banner, opt out in Your Privacy Choices, or use Global Privacy Control, our website call tracking does not load and you will see our main office number.

Calls with our office may be recorded or monitored for quality, training, and record-keeping. Pennsylvania law requires the consent of everyone on a call before it is recorded. When a call is recorded, we will tell you at the start of the call, and by continuing the call you consent to the recording. If you do not want to be recorded, tell us and we will turn recording off or offer another way to reach us.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels, tags, and local storage) to:

  • Make the Site work (for example remembering your cookie choice and blocking spam). These are always on.
  • Measure and improve the Site with analytics.
  • Measure advertising, such as whether an ad led to a call or form request.

How consent works on this Site

Visitors in the United States: analytics and advertising cookies are turned on by default, and you can turn them off at any time (an "opt-out" model). The cookie banner shown on your first visit lets you click "Decline," and the button in Your Privacy Choices lets you change your choice later.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland: Google analytics and advertising cookies stay off unless you click "Accept."

Our website tags load on every page, but when you decline, we tell Google's tools not to set analytics or advertising cookies. Some tools may still send limited, cookieless signals (for example that a page was viewed) without identifying cookies. When you decline, or your browser sends Global Privacy Control, the Searchlight Photon tag is not loaded at all; see Section 10.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of advertising cookies and of any "sale" or "sharing" of your information for advertising, and we turn advertising cookies off for that browser. Browsers' older "Do Not Track" setting has no common standard, so we do not respond to it separately; please use GPC or the controls below.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block all cookies, some parts of the Site may not work properly.

10. Analytics and advertising tools

  • Google Analytics 4 helps us understand how visitors use the Site. Learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out across sites with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Call tracking (see Section 8).
  • Advertising measurement such as Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing (loaded through Google Tag Manager), and, if we add them, social media pixels (for example Meta). You can manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com and through the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out.
  • Click-fraud protection from ClickCease, which checks visits that arrive from our paid ads (IP address, device, and browsing information) to detect and block fraudulent or automated ad clicks.
  • Searchlight Photon is a marketing attribution and visitor identification tag from Searchlight Partners that loads on the Site's pages unless you have opted out. It may set cookies or use similar technologies, collect your IP address, device, and browsing information, and match your visit to identity information that Searchlight or its data partners already hold (such as a name, email, or postal address) so we can measure which advertising works and, in some cases, follow up with people who visited. Photon is not loaded if you click "Decline" on our cookie banner, use the opt-out button in Your Privacy Choices, or your browser sends Global Privacy Control; your choice applies from the next page you load. You can also block scripts from searchlight.partners in your browser or with a content blocker, or email us at [email protected] with "Photon Opt-Out" in the subject line and we will ask Searchlight to suppress your information and will not use Photon data to contact you.
  • Google reCAPTCHA protects our forms. Its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
  • Google Maps embeds on our Contact page show our office locations. Google may set its own cookies when a map loads.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, privacy laws (for example in California, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and other states) may give you the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we have about you, and get a copy.
  • Correct information that is wrong.
  • Delete personal information, subject to exceptions (for example records we must keep for warranties, taxes, permits, or legal claims).
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling.
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not use sensitive information for purposes that require this right.
  • Appeal our decision on your request.
  • Not be treated differently for using any of these rights.

Whether or not your state's law applies to us, we will honor reasonable requests to access, correct, or delete your information, and to opt out of advertising cookies, from any customer or visitor.

How we respond. We will confirm we received your request within 10 business days and answer within 45 days. If we need more time (up to another 45 days), we will tell you why. To protect you, we will verify your identity by matching information you give us (such as your name, phone number, and service address) to our records. An authorized agent may make a request for you with your signed permission. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing us with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line; we will answer the appeal within 60 days. If you are still not satisfied, you may contact your state Attorney General.

12. Your Privacy Choices

You can use any of these options at any time:

Analytics, advertising, and attribution tags on this browser

Current setting: On (default)

  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising: use the button above, click "Decline" on the cookie banner, or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. Your choice applies to the browser and device you use, so repeat it on each one. These controls cover Google's analytics and advertising tools and stop the Searchlight Photon tag from loading (Section 10).
  • Access, correct, or delete your information: email [email protected] with "Privacy Request" in the subject line, or call (267) 860-8106.
  • Stop texts: reply STOP to any text from us.
  • Stop marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in the email, or email us. We may still send messages about service you have scheduled or bought.
  • Stop marketing calls: ask any team member to put you on our internal do-not-call list.

Your California Privacy Rights: Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the rights described below. As Section 11 explains, we honor the same requests from visitors and customers in any state.

Categories of personal information we collect (details in Section 2):

  • Identifiers: name, phone number, email address, service or billing address, and IP address.
  • Commercial information: services you ask about or buy, estimates, invoices, and appointment history.
  • Internet or other electronic network activity: pages viewed, links clicked, and the website or ad that sent you to us, collected by Google Analytics 4 and the Searchlight Photon tag (Section 10), and device and interaction signals collected by Google reCAPTCHA on our forms.
  • General geolocation: approximate city or region, based on IP address.
  • Call information: call tracking records from our call tracking provider (WhatConverts), when call tracking is active, and recordings where a call is recorded (Section 8).
  • Professional or employment information: job applicants only (Section 17).

Selling and sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. Through the cookies and tags described in Sections 9 and 10, identifiers and internet activity may be disclosed to Google and to Searchlight Partners in a way that California law may treat as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising (Section 6). We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

Your right to opt out of sale and sharing. You can tell us not to sell or share your personal information at any time, and we will not ask you to opt back in for at least 12 months.

Your rights to know, delete, and correct. You can ask what personal information we have about you and how we got and used it, ask us to delete it, and ask us to correct anything that is wrong. We respond as described in Section 11.

No discrimination. We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you a different level of service because you used any of these rights.

How to opt out. Use any of these:

  • The opt-out button at the top of this section.
  • "Decline" on our cookie banner.
  • Global Privacy Control: we honor a GPC signal from your browser as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser, with nothing else to click (Section 9).
  • Email [email protected] with "Do Not Sell or Share" in the subject line, or call (267) 860-8106.

Contact. Economy Drain Cleaning LLC d/b/a Plumbing Pals, 2424 E York St Ste 100-B, Philadelphia, PA 19125; [email protected]; (267) 860-8106. This section was last updated October 5, 2026.

13. Children's privacy

The Site is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

14. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the reasons in this policy, and then delete or de-identify it. As a general guide:

  • Customer and job records (including invoices, permits, and warranty records): for as long as you are a customer and for up to 7 years after your last service, longer if a warranty or legal claim requires it.
  • Inquiries that did not become a job: up to 3 years.
  • Call recordings: up to 2 years, unless needed for a dispute.
  • Job applications: up to 2 years after the application.
  • Analytics data: according to our Google Analytics retention setting (up to 14 months for user-level data).

15. How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access limited to team members who need it, and reputable service providers. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by Pennsylvania law and any other law that applies.

16. Payments and financing

We accept cash, check, credit and debit cards, Venmo, and financing. Card payments are handled by our payment processor through our customer management system; card numbers are not entered on or stored by this Site. Financing is offered through Wisetack. When you apply, you give your information directly to Wisetack and its lending partners, and their privacy policies and terms apply. We receive your application status and loan details needed to complete the job, not your full credit report.

Payment Security

This Site has no fields for card numbers and never asks for them. Card payments and financing applications are completed on our payment processor's or financing partner's own pages or systems, so your full card number is never sent to or stored by this Site or the forms on it. Never send a card number through a website form, email, or text message. If anyone asks you to, call us at (267) 860-8106 first.

17. Job applicants

If you apply to work with us, we use your application to evaluate you for the position, contact you about it, and meet employment law requirements. We share applications only with the people involved in hiring and with service providers that help us receive applications.

The Site links to other websites, such as our online booking page, our financing partner, Google, and social media. We do not control those sites, and this policy does not apply to them. Please read their privacy policies.

19. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a material change, we will post a notice on the Site. Changes apply from the date they are posted.
